    Guided by the market economy and based on the progerss of technology,the agricultural technological revolution will be promoted in order to combine the cream of traditional agriculture technique with the Hi-& new technology of modern agriculture.The natural resources will be transformed and optimized in a bid to make Xishan a top-level,worldly-renowned State-level modern agriculture demonstration park with nice ecological environment,sustained economic development and social civilization.

Plan & Target
    Aimed at high yield,high quality and high efficiency as well as a sustained development,the technology,industrialization,market and internationalization of modern agriculture will be greatly promoted. The Park will demonstrate the technology of modern agriculture,the agriculture for tourists as well as the production and processing of famous,special and new products. The Park will also presents the beautiful scenery of Lake Taihu,and show the technology and sustained developmint of modern agriculture as well as the nice ecological environment.

    Jushan and Yuanshanwan in the northeast of the island,covering an area of 6000 mu.The zone will be developed into a production area of high-yield and high quality rice,wheat and oil crops with high-standard water reservation facilities and a high degree of mechanization,as well as a demonstration zone for the popularization and application of modern agricultural technology.The mechanization rate will exceed 90%.The unit yield of grain will be increased by 30% and the benefits by 50%.

    The town area,covering 500 mu.Ten large-scale processing enterprises for agricultural broducts will be set up with a total output of 0.5 billion RMB per year,of which more than 65% will be for export.

    Waituwu,covering an area of 1500mu.The planting of local special flowers and nursery stock will be developed there and famous foreign flowers will be introduced,too.The zone will integrate the cultivation of seeds,sale and exhibition in a whole combination.

    Meiyi,Bingchang and Zhenxia.The output of fruits will be 30 thousand tons per year.It will be developed into a production base for traditional famous,special and quality fruits in Jiangsu province.It will also become a production base for the stereo-type planting of trees,fruits,tea and other green foodstuffs.

    Hengshan and Yingshanhu Bay in the west of the island,covering an area of 5000 mu.The local famous,special and quality aquatic products will be developed there.High quality varieties and advanced cultivation technology will also be introduced.

    The demonstration zone for the vegetable planting is located at Duzhu Village,covering an area of 200 mu.It will become a production base for pollution-free vegetables.There,the facilities will be modernized,pipes will be used for warm water and soil-free planting technology will be gradually popularized.

    Baoshanwu.The construction of the top-level forest ecological zone will be combined with modern agriculture.

    Jushanwan in the north of the island.It will be developed into a center for the agricultural research,the popularization of science and technology,the talent training and tourism agriculture.

    Mingwan in the south of the island.It will be developed into a center for the agricultural research,the popularization of science and technology,the talent training and tourism agriculture.

    Zhenxia Donghe and Tangli.It will feature the rural households in the south of Yangtze River with the beautiful scenery of Lake Taihu and the nice ecological environment of modern agriculture.
